Sometimes it is hard to know that you aren’t missing something
We like to start by talking about you, not about ourselves. As a rule, we think it’s always best to start with the customer, so if you just want to tell us how things are going, you can do that! Even before we talk though, we know it’s likely you will be a certain type of person and business.
You love your business
People who are interested and passionate about their business are the sort of people we want to work with. It’s fine if you know there are things you can do better – but you need to love what you do.
We work with people from entrepreneurs starting their first company to companies with a turnover of £20m or more. Regardless of their current size, they all want to grow.
I’m Phil Davies, and I set up HeyStrategy in 2011 as a marketing services company. Over time we expanded into a full-service marketing agency with a small team of really great marketers, working with dozens of companies and entrepreneurs across the northwest. Since 2020 I’ve been back to purely consultancy (the rest of the team are off doing amazing things on their own, and I still use them when they can make time for me!) so the ‘About Us’ now really just needs to be ‘About Me’ again.

Don’t be scared
Marketing is often undervalued because people don’t understand it and are therefore scared of it – we want to take that fear away. It doesn’t help that marketers don’t always have the best reputation, which is completely understandable. There’s a lot of truth in the phrase that ‘marketers ruin everything’. We want to change that, and we try not to fall into those traps.
We are here to help our customers improve and grow through our knowledge, time, opinions and support. Let’s see if we can make marketing good again.
